The Stxial Research Project SUPkYJrted by the Barry and Peggy High Foundation threw up some early
fascinating, although perhaps not surprising findings aiound isolation and worsening of mental healt
issues. Perhaps what wag more shocking wa8 that the Tr$ult8 of menial health issues, such as self-
harm, were belng seen more than before In Primary 8Ghool$ and that local teachers in partlcular were
trngollng with re811ience and an almost oven•thelming pressure lo succeed In unprecedente¢Y
c¢rcumsLknGes and pressures. Immedi*ely prior to the first lockdo4vn we had slarted working with
'socral prwcrtber8', part of a new Government in￿a￿"Ve, who were ba¥ed at GP surgertes. The awn
was for them to be ab￿ to tske a more holistic approaGh to healthcare and wetrare and lo prescribe
activities. such as fltness, gardenlng elc. in place of. or in conjunctlon wth, pre8crfbed medicino8.
