**Objects:** TO PROMOTE THE DEVELOPMENT OF ALL CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS WHO ARE REFERRED TO THE CLEVELAND UNIT FOR EARLY INTERVENTION, ASSESSMENT, THERAPY, EDUCATION AND CARE; BY PROVISION OF GENERAL AND SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT AND LITERATURE, SUPPORT TO FAMILIES, RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES, AND IMPROVING THE SERVICES OFFERED BY THE UNIT TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN AUGMENTATION OF SUCH FACILITIES FINANCED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY AND LOCAL NHS TRUSTS

**Activities:** The Cleveland Unit is the child development centre and nursery for the South Tees area. The Unit offers multi disciplinary assessment, therapy, early years education and parental support to children who have low incidence special needs and their families. The fund provides for specialist seating, books, off-site visits, and more large and small items for the day to day running of this service.
