**Objects:** (1) TO RELIEVE HARDSHIP, DISTRESS AND SUFFERING OF DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE, INCLUDING TAMILS IN THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN PROVINCES OF SRI LANKA WHO ARE DISADVANTAGED AS A RESULT OF CONFLICTS AND NATURAL DISASTERS. (2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF CHILDREN, INCLUDING TAMIL CHILDREN IN THE NORTHERN AND EASTERN PROVINCES OF SRI LANKA, IN PARTICULAR IN THE AGRICULTURE AND INDUSTRY, BY THE PROVISION OF, AND SUPPORT TO PURCHASE, MATERIALS NECESSARY FOR SCHOOLING AND TRAINING.

**Activities:** To provide both urgent humanitarian relief, long-term rehabilitation for less fortunate children who have lost one or both parents mainly in the Northern and Eastern provinces of Sri Lanka, including those who have been displaced to Southern India as as consequence of the 25 year civil war. Further, to advance the education of children in these areas by the provision of schooling and training.
