Independent Examiner’s Report to the Trustees of King George V Playing Field Trust Northleach
I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of King George V Playing Field Trust Northleach for the year ended 31[st] March 2025, which are set out on page 3 & 4.
Responsibilities and Basis of Report
As the charity’s trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
I am qualified to undertake the examination by being a member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) and because I am familiar with charity accounting, including the requirements of the Charities SORP (FRS 102) and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008.
My examination was carried out under section 145 of the Act. The purpose of my examination is to consider whether any material matters have come to my attention which give cause to believe that:
-
accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act; or
-
the accounts do not accord with those records; or
-
the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Act; or
-
there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts.
My role is to provide a report on those accounts and not to form an audit opinion.
Independent Examiner’s Statement
My examination was carried out in accordance with the Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act and the Charities SORP (FRS 102).
An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of

any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters.
The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a ‘true and fair view’.
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
-
which gives me reasonable cause to believe that, in any material respect, the requirements to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the Act; and to prepare accounts which accord with those records and comply with the accounting requirements of the Act, have not been met; or
-
to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
