accordance w(th the FRS 102 SORP and the Charities Act 2011.

as amended by a supplemental deed dated 21 August 2000. The Slaughter and May Charitsble
Twsl was registered as a ¢hartty on 5 October 2000.

The Iruslee of the Charity is Slaughter and May Trust Lirniled, a company whose directors are
all Partners in Slaughter and Msy. The trustee operates through a Committee of 519 Board
comprlsing up to six current Partner5 of Slaughter and May IG O'Keefe, l.A.M. Taylor. J.S.
Nevin, R.A. Byk and D,G Walkin$} all of thom have been nomin81ed by the trustee. All current
wnembers of th& C¢)rnmttiee have served throughout the financlal year ended 5 April 2022 other
than Q O'Keefe who was appointed on 1 May 2021 and D.Q Walkins who was appointed on
9 March 2022. In addillon, C. A. Connolly and D. E Robertson reslgned from the Committee lon
30 April 2021 and 20 January 2022 respectively). J.S. Nevin became chair of the Committee
followng the resignation of D.E.Robertson from the Commrttee.

Durfng Ihe year lo 5 April 2022, the Charity provlded support to charttable work In accordance
wth its objects and strategy.
Income 01 £573,551 was recelved durfng the year12021 £412,112>. This funding i¥ applied lo
furthersn9 the objects of the Charity and the trustee made grants tolalling £513,551 during the
year12021 £526,912}.
The nel movement in fvnds dullng the year to 5 April 2022 was an increase of £60,00012021
decrease of £120,000), as shown In the 8ts1ement of financial activllles.
Al the year end the Charity has net liabilities of £59,99012021 nel liabilities of £119,990). The
net liabilities comprised the £10 initial capitsl sum less grants of £60,000 which the Charity has
committed lo paying but which are not payable until subsequent years. IThese will be paid from

The Charity's aim is to distribute all income received, leavlng the inS1ial balance of £10
remaining, Other than those liabilities arising from the practice ol accounting lor donations in

It is the intenlipn of the Trust to distribute all donations received as grants annually wlth the
exception of the initial £10 capital sum. Any balance or deficit at the year end Ss due to short
term liming d￿yerenCes. The trustee continue5 to consider the risks affecting the Charity and
takes Steps lo minlmise those risks when required. The most significant risk to the Charty is
that of potential misappropriation of funds. A5 far as possible, duties have been segregated to
minimise this risk.

The Trustee considers there are no material uncertainties about the Charit￿6 ability to operate
as a going concern.
The Charity's intention is lo dlgtribule All donations received in the year. Any nel surplus or
deficit (other than the Ini￿al £10 capital sum) is due lo short term timing differences. The defiGit
in 2022 of £60,000 (under the initial capital sum) was comprised of grants vthich the Charity is
