Bible<br>teaching seminars are held for the<br>general public as well as ladies’<br>meetings. Christian literature is<br>translated, published and distributed<br>free of charge.|

|Policy on grant making|Para 1.38|The charity uses a small proportion of the<br>financial donations it receives to provide<br>direct monetary assistance to help those<br>individuals in Armenia living in extreme<br>need. Primarily, this is to help with medical<br>costs, house rents and utility bills. The<br>majority of the remaining total funds<br>allocated to the provision of help are used to<br>purchase items such as food, personal<br>hygiene supplies, and fuel for heating. The<br>charity does not provide grants to other<br>organisations.|

## **Achievements and Performance**

|Summary of the main<br>achievements of the charity,<br>identifying the difference the<br>charity’s work has made to<br>the circumstances of its<br>beneficiaries and any wider<br>benefits to society as a<br>whole.|Para 1.20|Poverty relief in the country of Armenia:<br>a) The provision of food parcels (bought<br>in Armenia) to destitute families with<br>young children, and elderly people<br>with no income, on a regular as well<br>as a one-off basis. Approximately 80<br>families per month are currently<br>being helped in this way.<br>b) Following the Nagorno-Karabakh war<br>in autumn 2020, additional food<br>parcels, in the order of 40 per month,<br>have been given to refugee families<br>and families of serving soliders<br>where there have been casualties or<br>fatalities.<br>c) The provision of medical assistance<br>including paying for a number of<br>minor operations for individuals. This<br>has included assistance to provide<br>cancer treatment. The charity also<br>supplied medicines on a regular and<br>one-off basis.<br>d) Provision of winter fuel, including<br>wood and contribution to electric<br>bills, to some families. In total,<br>around 60 families were helped in<br>this way during the winter period.<br>e) Contributions towards house rent for<br>a number of families and individuals<br>living in desperate conditions.<br>f) Three 40 foot container loads of<br>humanitarian aid have been sent<br>from the UK and distributed in<br>Armenia – including new and<br>second-hand clothes, bedding,<br>shoes, toiletries, toys, mobility<br>equipment and furniture.<br>g) Appreciable support has been given<br>to the Armenian Department of<br>Social Security’s appeal for<br>schoolbags for the children.<br>Christian training and work among children<br>and young people in Armenia:<br>a) Due to Covid-19 restrictions in<br>Armenia, most of the charity’s<br>activities among children had to be<br>temporarily stopped in 2020. In<br>particular the charity was unable to<br>run the normal programme of<br>summer camps.<br>b) Continued free distribution of<br>Armenian Bibles and Armenian<br>Words of Life calendars, provided by<br>Trinitarian Bible Society.|
