|The Association||offers a number ofservices to Its cfients; these are summarlsed<br>briefly below.||
|Helpline||Afree, confidential<br>service that acts as the first poInt ofcontact for many dlents||
|||through a phone call, webslte enquiry or social media such as Facebook. Callers||
|||only pay the standard<br>operator call charges. The service provides<br>Information,<br>advice and guidance<br>on afi aspects ofdyslexia and other associated specific||
|||learning<br>difficulties, as well as Information<br>about the paid-for services avafiable<br>which are provided<br>by the Association. Approximately<br>50%ofcalls to the Helpfine||
|||are from adults and employers,<br>with the remainder<br>being InlUated<br>by parents<br>and||
|||schools.Service defivery hours were reduced at the beginning<br>ofthe covld||
|||pandemic<br>from 6N to4 hours per day, Monday to Friday, and remained<br>at thIs||
|||level in 2021.||
|Advice||These are generally<br>provided free ofcharge to dyslexlc cfients and families as a||
|Sessions||service to de-brief diagnostic assessments<br>and to provide Assistlve Technology||
|||advice or by way ofa pre-tuition<br>Interview. A voluntary<br>donation<br>towards the cost||
|||ofthe advice sessions Is appreciated<br>but Is not a mandatory<br>requirement.<br>difficulty||
