going concern basis in preporino the finonciol statements. Further detoils regording the odoption of the going concern
basi5 can be found in the accounting policies.
b. Resèrvès pollcy
A charity's free reserves are its general unrestricted funds (excluding any element represented by fixed ossetsl less any
funds which hove been designoted for specific future projects by the Trustee5 The totol of free reserves ot the yeor-
end wos £232.82412024. £248.614).
Durlng the yeor. The Alblon Foundotlon relocated to new premlses on Roy Holl Lone. Historlcolly. monagement had bullt
up a restricted fund of £500.000 intended for the future renovation of the old premises. which hove now been vacoted.
The Trustees have confirmed that there are no longer any specific projects requiring the use of this £500.000 Capitol
Reserve and have therefore approved its transfer to a designated reserve. Following this decision. the Trustees have
established a revised structure lor designated funds to support the long-term financial stability of the Foundation.
The Albion Foundotion hove on agreed reserves policy of holding reserves to cover the costs of stoff not poid for
through funded projects for o six month period. This figure is colculoted to be £310.000.
Al the yeor end ihe charity had total reserves of £767.107 comprising o designoted reserve of £500.000 and o generol
reserve of £267.107. See note 16 in the notes to the financial stotement5 for detai15 on the fund occounting.
c. Surplus
The overall position for The Albion Foundation for the year is a deficit of £1.715 {2024.. deficit of £68.892). with reserves
of £767.107 {2024. £768.822)
Income from choritoble octivities hos increosed by 8.580/0 to £2.275.388 (2024.. £2.095,533). Expenditure on choritoble
octivities has Increosed by 4.79% 10 £2.966,453 (2024.. £2.830.906).

out in the Foundotion's ottendance ond trustee charter. The Boord hos the authority to fill any cosual vocancy orising
during the year.
A review of recruitment ol trustees from the previous year has been implemented and is working well. An audit of the
work undertoken by the Boord will continue to toke ploce periodicolly throughout the coming yeor.

initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless otherwise stated in the relevant accounting

2.2 Going concern
The trustees continue to odopt the goino concern ossumption os the bosls of preporation of the charity's

foreseeable future regarding the charity's ability to continue as a going concern. In forming this conclusion.
the trustees have considered the level of funds held and the expected level of income and expenditure for
12 months from the dote of outhorising these finonciol stotements.

All income is recognised once the Chority hos entitlement to the Income, It Is probable thot the Income will

During the year. The Albion Foundation relocated to new premises Dn Ray Hall Lane. Historically. management
hod built up o restricted fund of £500.000 intended for the future renovotion of the old premises. which hove
now been vocoted. The Trustees hove confirmed thot there ore no longer ony specific projects requiring the use
of this £500.000 Copitol Reserve ond hove therefore opproved its tronsfer to o designoted reserve Following
this decision. the Trusleeg have estoblished o revised structure for designated funds to support the long-term
finonciol stability of the Foundation.

The Foundotion operotes o defined contribution pension scheme. The ossets of the scheme are held separotely
from those of the Foundation in an independently administered fund. The pension cost charge represents
