The charity is governed by its constitution adopted on the 25[[th]] May 2000. The  club  is  managed  by  a  voluntary  committee  of  parents  who  are appointed annually at the AGM.

A child protection policy is in place. Criminal Records Bureau checks are carried out prior to commencement to employment or trusteeship. These checks are carried out every two years in line with statutory requirements. All relevant policies can be found on the Knightwood Kids Club Website.

Appointment of New Trustees is undertaken in accordance with adopted guidelines and procedure. We are actively recruiting for new committee members, as three members have or are in the process of stepping down due to their children moving on to secondary school.

All trustees give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration.

Our philosophy was always one  of  which  encouraged  openness  to  others  and  enriched  through sharing skills aptitudes and experiences.

Up until the closure, we had many comments from parents informing us how happy their children were at kids club. **Staff and Volunteers** 

We were incredibly lucky to have had such an amazing team of staff, students and volunteers who supported us. 

All staff have continued to update training and relevant qualifications.

Reserves were managed in accordance with the reserves policy. The **Brief statement of the** funds were held in accordance with our policy to hold at least 2 months **charity’s policy on reserves** operating costs in reserve to ensure independent financial and operational stability. 

These reserves cam into use in April 2025, when we had to close kids club and make the staff redundant.

Following a decision by Knightwood School to remove the contract with Knightwood Kids Club for the provision of the afterschool care, the decision was taken by the committee to close kids club, with the final day for the provision as being the 4[th] April 2025. All staff were made redundant.

Responsibilities and
basis of report
As the charit￿S trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the
accounts in accordan￿ with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011
(Ihe Acr).
I report in resred of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 ofthe 2011 Act and in carying out my examination, I
have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145(5}{b) of the Act.
Independent I hav8 completed my examination. l confirn that no material matters have
examineRs statsment come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me
cause to believe that in. any material respect:
the accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with Section 130
of the Charities Act; or
the accounts did not accord wyth the accounting records., or

conceming the form and content of accounts set out in the Chartties
