majority ol'grants awarded being below £50.0(X). Within the Learning rcmit. Thc Foylc School Librarics Programme is
major initlalive dcsi8ned to support primary Schools. in the main, to itnprovc reading ability and literacy. Grants
awarded are between £2.0(M) and £10,000 per School. In addiiion the Foundation operaies a Small Grants. Scheme which
awards core and pmject ￿nd]rtS to small and Ilxal ¢harilie4 with wrnover under £150.000 per annum.

The foundaiion exists and operates for public benefit. Our grant making progrAmme benefits UK re8islercd clwiiic¥
enabling ihem to cany out Ihcir work for public benefit. All Trustees ¥ive iheir lime voluniarily and receive no benefit%
from the charity. Any expcns&s reclvlimed from the charity are set out in note 8 to the accounts.
The open 8rants proyramme 1% d&¥i¥ned to be responsive lo the dirtti needs of charilies and their beneficiaries and lo
help make # difference lo their work. The Foundation takes pride in funding activilies which experience diffL¢ulty in
attracting suppor¢ or where there are few other Sources of funding. Gcnerally, in Larrying out the work of the Foundation,
