Our purpose is to maintain the medieval Manor, preserve it for the future, and enable its use by groups which benefit the community, currently the Dovery Museum and the Billiards & Snooker Club, which each rent part of the building.

Objects: The Said Property Comprised In The Conveyance (Hereinafter Called "The Trust Property") Shall Be Held Upon Trust For The Purposes And For The Use Of The Inhabitants Of The Parish And Neighbourhood Of Porlock In The County Of Somerset (Hereinafter Called "The Area Of Benefit") Without Distinction Of Political Religious Or Other Opinions Including Use For Meetings Exhibitions Lectures And Classes And For All Forms Of Recreation And Leisure-Time Occupation And For Such Other Charitable Purposes As The Committee May From Time To Time Agree With The Object Of Improving The Conditions Of Life For The Said Inhabitants
