Structure, governance and management
The Charity is govemed under a scheme estsblished in accordance with the Charities Act 1993.
The Charity is an unincorporated association.
The charity's trustees are selected on the following basis:
up to three are elected.
one or more each is appointed from the authorised organisations. and
two are appointed by Fulmer Parish Coundl.
no more than two further CO•OPted members may be appointed.
The scheme allows for up to 14 committee members who serve until they reslgn or are no longer
capable of performing their responsibilities.
The Management Commlttee
The Management Committee manages the day-to-day operalions of the Charity. It meets
approximately once every six weeks and the secretary or a design*e for 8ach meeting
produces minutes. The meetings are generally held at the pavilion at King George's Field but
when it is agreed some meetings were conducted via Zoom.
The Charity Is the benefidal owner of the premises and storage containers situated at the King
George's Field, Fulmer Common Road, Fulmer in the county of Buckinghamshire, SL3 6JN.
Rlsk management
All potential users are subject to review and approval by the comrnlttee andlor by the
management of the clubs. The principal risks are the misappropriation ￿ misuse of funds of the
Charity and of the use of the pavilion and field. This risk is mitigated by the close involvement of
the committee through the representatlves of the dubs and more through the manager of the
facility. Risk management is also assisted by regular reports to the Management Committee on
the status of the clubs that use the premises and of the plans and projects set up by the
Management Committee or the dubs with the perynission of the committee. In additlon, the
accounts are presented in brief fomiat by the Treasurer at the committee meetings.
Further, we have established a reserves policy whlch provides guidance to the trustees regarding
when we need to take action to restore the financial resources of the charity.
ObJectlve8 of th• charlty
The Charlty is responsible for the provision and maintenance of King George's Field, in the
village of Fulmer, Buckinghamshire, for the furtherance and encouragement of sporting,
recreational and community activities for those living in the parish of Fulmer and its near
neighbourhood.
Actlvltles durlng the flnanclal year
During the year under review the Charity organised community activlties such as Fulrner Family
Fun Day and Fulmer Fireworks. It also provided facilities for exercise, art and mental health
dasses and for the sporting activities of the Fulmer Cricket Club. Gerrards Cross & Fulmar
Football Club and Fulrner Tennis Club.
Achievements and perfonnance
The facilities were operating as usual during the year following Covid. The Famlly Fun Day in
May formed part of the King's Coronats'on and Big Lunch celebrations and was attended by His
Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire. The Family Fireworks event in November drew
over 600 people and was significantly upgraded with spectacular fireworks and novelty
activities such as stilt walkers. The Studio as an exercise Spa￿ gained more traction with
various new classes introduced over the year. The condition of the All Weather Court
deteriorated and was finally addressed this year wrth a significant upgrade made possible by
the generous donation of a local resident.
