Review of progress and achievements The Association continues to operate an open-door policy in respect of rdigtous education for the benefit of Muslims and non-muslims who are eager to learn about Islam. The Ass(Kiation also has an ongoing policy of seeking to create l)arniony within the community at large and, to this en(t has c(koperated with the police. hospital and social services to nyaximize understanding of the various cultural needs. Review of fmancial activities aDd affairs As shown on the Receipts and Payments account on page 4. ther¢ was a net sutplus of £ 48,812 for the year. (2024 surplus £ 17.312) and bank and cash balances on hand of £99,064 on 31 Marth 2025 (2024 £50,252). Income from donations and collections was up by £15K" and Rentsl income was also up by £5.5K with now both properties rented (K During the year more refurbishment work was carried out on th¢ propty next to the main mosqu¢ with the fitting of new carpet which cost £7,470 (2024 £25,000) of wljith £4,970 was paid by some kind donors. GLOUCESTERSHIRE BANGLADESHI ASSOCIATION Page 6 NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL ACCOUNTS Year ended 31 March 2025 Accounting Basis The accounts have been prepared on a receipts and payments basis and comply with section 42(3) of the Charities Act 1993. 2. Incoming resources Voluntary income is received by way of donationsllegac4es and gifts and is induded in full in the Statement of Financial Activities when receivable. No value has been placed in the Financial Statements on goods and services received for use by the charity for its own activities. 3. Resources expended Resources expended are recognised in the period in which they are incurred. Capital Expenditure The Association spent £NIL on adjoining and shop property (2024 £25,000). 5. Taxation The association is a registered Chaiity under the Charities Act 1960 and as such is exempt from taxation of its income and capital gains.
