The trnstees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance w'ith the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) {effective l January 2019). OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES Objectives and aims The objects of the charity are such charitable purposes as the trustees/directors shall think fit. Significant activities The significant activity of the charity is to make grants to charitable organisations. Grantmaking The directorsltrustees decide which charitable organisations will receive grants and plan to distribute the annual accounting surplus. ACHIEVEMENT AIYD PERFORMANCE Cbaritable activities The chariiy makes payments to charitable organisalions in line with the sole source of income received (ie investment income). Every year it makes subsiantial grants to at least two charities. Investment policy and performance Investments funds are under th¢ discretionary administration of to provide a balance between income and capital growth. FINANCIAL REVIEW Financial position During the year the charity received income of £27.561 from investments and made charitable payments of £15,000. As at 31 March 20?4 the charity's unrestricted fund reports a deficit of £21,596 (2023: Deficit £28,180) and the endowment fund reports a surplus of £644.549 (2023: £705.128). Principal funding sources The principal funding source of the charity is the incomc derived from its investments. Investment poliey and objectives Investment funds are under the discretionary administration of Redmayne Bentley LLP to provide balance between income and capit21 growth. Reserves policy The charity aims to retain funds to cover grants and governance costs for one year. All unrestricted fund income will be distributed in due course. Page I

STRUCTURE, GOVERNAINCE AND MAINAGEMENT Governing document The charity was established by a lifetime settlement on 31 May 2000 by Mrs K A Thomas Deceased 25 October 2005 and £ 100,000 settled by the estate of Rev D H Bond-Thomas Deceased on 29 March 2007. The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 21 March 2000 and registered as a charity on 31 May 2000. The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the charitable company and is governed under its Articles of Association. In the ei'ent of th¢ company being "Ound up, members are required to contribute an amount not exceeding £5 to the assets of the company. Trustees/Directors and Organisational Structure The directors of the company are also charity trustees for the purposes of charity la,. The trustees who held office during the financial year and at the date of this report are set out on page l . There is no requirement for trustees to retire and it is not intended io appoint any new trustees at this time. If and when new Irustees are appointed, they will be given an introduction to the w'ork of the charity and provided with the inforniation they need to fulfil their roles, which includes inforniation about the role of trustees and charity law. All of the existing trustees have long experience of being charity trustees. The trustees/directors meet annually and are reswnsible for the direction and policy of the charity. ACCOUNTIING POLICIES Basis of preparing the financial statements The financial statements of ihe charitable company, which is a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have been prepared in accordance M ith the Charities SORP (FRS 101 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities- Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to chariti¢5 preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102), and thc Companies Act 2006. The financial statements hai'e been prepared under the historical cost convention w'ith the exception of investments ,hICh are included at market value, as modified by the reiialuation of certain assets. Th¢ financial statements are presented in Pound Sterling (£), which is also the functional currency of the company. Incoming resources All incoming resources are included on the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy. Resourees expended Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources. Expenditure includes any VAT which cannot be fully recovered and is reported as part of the expenditure to which it relates: charitable expenditure comprises grants to charitable orqanisations. governance costs include the costs of meeting the constitutional and statutory requirements of the charity. Grants offered subject to conditions ivhich have not been met at the year end date are noted as a commitment but not accrued as expenditure. We confirm that all accounting records have been made available to you for the purpose of your independent examination, in accordance with your terms of engagement, and that all the transactions undertaken by the charity have been properly reflected and recorded in the accounting records. All other records and related information, including minutes of all management, trustees’ and members’ meetings, have been made available to you. We have given you unrestricted access to persons within the charity in order to obtain evidence and have provided any additional information that you have requested for the purposes of your examination.

We confirm that significant assumptions used by us in making accounting estimates, including those measured at fair value, are reasonable.

We confirm that all known actual or possible litigation and claims whose effects should be considered when preparing the financial statements have been disclosed to the examiner and accounted for and disclosed in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework.

We confirm that we are aware that a related party of the charity is a person or organisation which either (directly or indirectly) controls, has joint control of, or significantly influences the charity or vice versa and as a result will include trustees/directors, other key management, close family, and other business interests of the previous.

Related party relationships and transactions have been appropriately accounted for and disclosed in the financial statements. We have disclosed to you all relevant information concerning such relationships and transactions and are not aware of any other matters which require disclosure in order to comply with legislative and accounting standards requirements.

8 We confirm that the charity has had, at no time during the year, any arrangement, transaction, or agreement to provide credit facilities (including loans, quasi-loans or credit transactions) for trustees, nor to guarantee nor provide security for such matters.

We confirm that the charity has not contracted for any capital expenditure other than as disclosed in the financial statements.

We confirm that we are not aware of any possible or actual instance of non-compliance with those laws and regulations which provide a legal framework within which the charity conducts its activities, and which are central to the charity’s ability to conduct its activities.

We acknowledge our responsibility for the design and implementation of internal controls to prevent and detect fraud. We confirm that we have disclosed to you the results of our own risk assessment that the financial statements may be misstated as a result of fraud.

We confirm that there have been no actual or suspected instances of fraud involving trustees, management or employees who have a significant role in internal control or that could have a material effect on the financial statements. We also confirm that we are not aware of any allegations of fraud by former trustees, employees, regulators, or others.

We believe that the charities’ financial statements should be prepared on a going concern basis on the grounds that current and future sources of funding or support will be more than adequate for the charities’ needs. We have considered a period of twelve months from the date of approval of the financial statements. We believe that no further disclosures relating to the charities’ ability to continue as a going concern need to be made in the financial statements.

We confirm that all grants, donations and other income, including those subject to special terms or conditions or received for restricted purposes, have been notified to you. There have been no breaches of terms or conditions during the period regarding the application of such income.
