A small group of volunteers manages the Society's stand at The Great Yotkshire Show each year. This is an
excellent opportunity to meet member5 and th¢ public face to fa¢¢ and to aJ15w¢r any q￿Stions. This results in tbe
Society gaining 80D]e new menth¢TS and anumber of new inspe¢lion 8ppli¢ations ¢wh y¢pT.

2024 saw tb¢ start of a major review of the Sooi¢ty's w¢bsile layouL led by H￿ther Glend¢DDing (now
Maclellan) and nwnb¢r Sjjona Mos4 sworted by webr￿ter Joe Kendall fro'm Yorkthir¢ Medi
Th¢ aim is to improve the layout of the site to make it easier to navig8te and to provide mc)Te interest in the form of
regular wdatss aad articles. The w¢b Site plays a crucial role in providing iDfon)]atioJ) for the public on

The Society's Facebook page is kept for official Jnnouttcement& The Society al80 has an Official Forum. This is a
private Facebook Group. op¢n to anyone who is prepar¢d to follow the group rules, encouraging sharin8 pboÉos and
news about group nkmb¢T8' borses and activities. Th¢ group is carefully moderated by a teatn of volunte¢rs who
ensure that everyone who partictpates is kept safe while accessing this page.

2024 Yeaybook
Following regrettable delays in the publication of th¢ 2022 the 2023 Yearbooks, a new Yearbook team Wds
appointed for 21Y24. With Linds¢y Mitlar a8 editor alld tru8t¢e Heat1￿ Chaplin as her assistanL the Yearbook was
published ott SCI￿dUle in Janu8ry 2025.
Flnance
Althougb the turnover was dowu by 2.62010 in 2024 (£114.528 compared with £117.612 itt 2023), there was
decrease in the expenditure costs for the year by I1.32Oh (£53,240 in 2024 cotnpared with £60.036 in 2023). Thi8
was18rg¢ly due to the Yearbook being Sent out digitalty. Jnspection income in 2024 was low¢r than in 2023 due to
the number of 8t&llions and nwes forward. The N8tiollal Championsbip Sbow, although tlLe income was comparably
the same as in 2023. tb¢ expetkses rLmuing the sbow were reduced aid th¢ NCS mad¢ a n¢t pmfit of £4509. This is
mainly due to tbe generosity of the SPODsors. l am hjppy to rwort that the So¢iety m￿e an overall net S￿￿luS of
£13,147 compared with £14,229 in 2023.
Reserves
The c￿ntinued policy of th¢ Society regarding reserves is lo n￿]ntain 8 modest sum from which to finance any
shortf81l in inctstr￿ pending retnedial action or to fitwn¢¢ approved capital projects.
Publ1¢ Beneat
The Society is the i)nly passport-iS8uitig organisation in Great Britain Ivhich SPeGiali8es in prnsrydmg p￿ports,
infornmtion and advice to Ibe public on all aspects of tbe Tri8h Drnugbt horse and br¢¢d crosses.
MembeT5 and non.members of the Soci¢ty call seek a￿￿ce by t¢l¢phone, etrdil, tbrougb thtrwebsite. They Djay also
approach indivtdual tft￿Iees and visit the Breed Stand at shows and events. ProvÉding s¢rvi¢es and support for Irish
Draught horse owners and br¢ed¢￿, the Society ￿hlev&S its 8oals alld helps to ¢llsure the contit)uation of this
valuable breed and its crosses.
