Dear Brian,

## **RE: LITTLE WENLOCK VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE – INDEPENDENT EXAMINATION OF ACCOUNTS, YEAR ENDED 31/12/25**

Charity Commission documentaon, I can confirm that I have acted independently whilst carrying out the examinaon of these accounts.

£7,651, which is an improvement from the previous year end loss of £1,153.

A comparison between 2024 and 2025 has been made, and I detail below an explanaon of my findings.

- Income from total bookings, year-on-year, has increased by £2,524, approximately 15% increase. However, pre-paid income for 2026 is down approximately 44%. There is accrued income of £132 due from the Parish Council.

- Donaons and sundry receipts are down this year from the prior year.

- With regards to expenditure, generally most expenses have been similar to the previous year, with excepon to the following, which have significantly decreased:

- Keyholder lockup – decrease from £2,013 to £360 (82%)

- Repairs and maintenance – down from £5,109 to £2,527 (50%)

- Sundry – decreased from £3,683 to £2123 (42%)

- Capital Expenditure during 2025 was £3,764, for the purchase of a Fire Alarm System

Tests carried out during the examinaon to ensure the accuracy of the accounng system included:

- Verifying balances per the SPL to the General Ledger, randomly tracing a sample of transacons to source documentaon.

-

accounng acvies for the year.

Commission, once they have been formally approved by the Commiee.

Should you have any further quesons, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Hilary Payne Enc: Examiner’s report, Final Accounts and Invoice
