Hot Lane, Biddulph Moor, Stoke on Trent, is registered with the Charity Commission INO 10802671 and constituted by Deed of Trust. The management committee aims to provide first class ha51 facilities at an affordable cost to individuals and voluntary organisations serving the community. The charity retained the services of caretakers and cleaners and depends upon the continuing help of the local volunteers. During the year the hall was used for events such as car club, playgroup, dog club, evergreens, yoga cla55. band prartice. bowling dub, etc. . Grantslfunding totalling £13,685 was received during the year. Reserves decreased by £10,576 due to the continued Hall refurbishment. However, the committee considerthat the reserves are sufFicient to maintain the long-term fijnctions of the Hall. Biddulph Moor Village Hall [Charity No 1080267] Independent Examinerfs Report Report of the Independent Examiner to the Trustees of Biddulph Moor Village Hall I report on the financial statement of the trust for the year ended 31" July 2023 which are set out on the attached pages. Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The charitys trustees are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 {"the ACV'I. The chariws trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Act and that an independent examination is needed. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act, to follow the applicable Direction5 given by the CharÉty Commission lunder section 1451511bl of the Actl. and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examinerfs Statement My examination was carried out in accordance with general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disc105ures in the accounts. and seeking explanations from the tnjstees COtrning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and tonsequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Independent Examinerfs statement In connection with my examination. no material matters have come to my attention which gives me ¢3use to believe that in. any material respect= accounting records were not kept in accordance with settion 130 of the Charities Act or the records do not accord wrth the accounting records I have no concerns and have come acr055 no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understsnding of the accounts to be reached.
