BIDDULPH MOOR VILLAGE HALL ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR TO 31" JULY 2021 Biddulph Moor Willage Hall. Hot Lane, Biddulph Moor, Stoke on Trent. is registered with the Charity Commission [No 10802671 and constituted by Deed of Trust. The management committee comprises of: Chairman Vice Chairperson Secretary Treasurer Mr Michael Ward Mrs Jennifer Dulson Mrs Linda Rogers Mrs Sandra Ward Other members Mr Graham Eardley Mr Nigel Lewis Mr Robert Sims Mrs Julie Jones Mrs Jacky Nevill The object of the charty is to maintain the Willage Hall forthe communal benefrt of the inhabitants of the village and its surroundings. The management committee aims to provide first class hall facilities at an affordable cost to individuals and voluntary organisations serving the community. The chartty retained the service5 of caretakers and cleaners and depends upon the continuing help of the local volunteers. During the year the hall's use was severely restricted due to covid-19. However. a shortened programme of meetings including dog clubs. car clubs, band practice, fftness classes and dance prartice did take place. Grants/funding totalling £38,678 was received during the year and reserves increased by £11,816. Therefore, the committee considerthat the reserves are sufficient to maintain the long-term functions of the Hall. The committee looks forward to the Hall's use by the local communlty during 2021122. Biddulph Moor Village Hall [Charity No 1080267] Independent Examinerfs Report Report of the Independent Examiner to the Trustees of Biddulph Moor Village Hall I report on the financial ststement of the tn for the year ended 31 July 2021 which are set out on the attached pages. Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner The charitls trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Art 20111"the ACY'I. The charitys trustees consider that ari audit is not required for this year under section 144 of the Act and that an independent examination is eeded. It is my responsibility to= examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act. to follow the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission lunder Section 14515J[b] of the Actl, and to state whether particular matters have come to my attention. Basis of Independent Examinerfs Statement My examination was carrd out in accordance with general directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charFty and compari50n of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequentty no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fairf view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below. Independent Examinerfs statement In connection with my examination, no material matters have come to my attention which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respett= accounting records were not kept in accordance with sertion 130 of the Charities Act or the records do not accord with the accounting records I have no concems and have come across no other matter5 in connection wtth the examination to which atterstion should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
