PWLDS can drop in to 7xork wlth us. tell us at￿t tha"r problems or just chat. As wdl as drop￿n9 In
PWLDS have been able to come to the regvlar ro fa￿ gr(yJps or meetings we hold. Of cwrse, we
attend some Z(x)m meetings when we have ro. and share lots of phone calls and emails, but we see
each otlier and other people with leèming difficulties IPWLDS) every weekday except for most FriOay5.
Often. PWLDS dont have computers. ta￿ets. or smart pknes. It's realty important that they can come
and see us in a k*ace they know how to find. because it's not safe out there at all. not these days.
We've done a lot of supporting of PWLDS to be safer and get tsjt ol bad situat•Dns wirh people WIKI a
us'r¥J and aiw5ing tr￿rn. We have Spfead the worfl a lot atx)ut to Sup[￿ PWLDS to be safer in the
communty and deal with hate crime and hate incKJences. ￿50. some of the few PWLDS we work wtth
who do have smart phones arKI tsblets have got into trouble pecyle online who want to take
advantsge ol them. We have sUp￿rted those PWLOS too. Part of our work suptx)rttng PWLDS to be safe
has involved trdining 40+ rrcrutts to Lambeth and &￿th￿ark MetroFdrtan PrAiCe.
We realty need to keep w(￿￿ng with t￿pIe to deal with these horrible i55ue5 and have been supixirti
PWLDS to ￿]id or deal with rhe same 50rt5 of i55ue5 vle ments.oned in our last directors reKK*rt such as

We have worked ￿ updating our website. and with the support of tr*art n Swl. and have learned a lot
more about social media and how Il can be used to communlcate ¥￿th ¢)thers in useful ways. We now
use X and Insbjfam muth mcme. Our work with Heart n Soul was funded as part of wr pilot project
Icrf)king at commissK)ning other service5 to work wrth u& As Well as learning a￿￿t commissianiTrJ on

year we got a new radio show of our own at
8rixton Radio. We talk aboul all sort5 of i55ues
induding what life Is like for PWLDS and the
supwrt we want. But. we also talk about how to
keep as happy as tM)ssible and what matters In Ilfe
and k)ts of other thing5, not all g<th. One of rhe
important thir4Js a￿ut the show is that hys u5.

We created the top tips earlier when we completed our work with Jnclugon London on sup￿rtIng
PWLDS who are at risk of, or expenenong hate crime or IncKJen￿S. In December we gave a
presentation at￿ut our top tsp5 to Lamttth Safeguarding Adults P*Jard (SA8) Community Engagement
Group. This led to the SAB manager ath.ng us to e￿11 ojr lop bps to her and requestsng to nEet wth
us ar our rwms at 336 Bnxton Road to tslk atmwt h)w we cAn work together further in future.
We wanted to find out rrx)re about what happens to PWLDS who rrthe fr(￿ livi￿ in the cotnmunity into
care hcrn when they are older a￿1 c(MJld Thjt get alryvkne￿ with fi￿ling ryjt alxAJt this subj'ect from
what S￿Id1 services had online. We found out è I￿￿1 group of older LGBTQ+ people called 8nxton
Umbrella Circle a camp3Fgn called Not GoiThJ Into The Care aoset and we asked if we could come to
their meth.ngs as they tw were corKernef1 aLK)Ut ina(lequate and In sowe cases abusive care of dderfy
r￿￿e In Ca￿ They ¥￿[￿ happy to In•fi)l￿ us aThJ haj no troutAe unthtsrhjiw the Cross-￿￿S
In our work. We learned a lof from our ong(xng meetings With them and the members of social services
they were meeting with. Using our expenence, we were able lo lntrcrfj￿e one orde MeMl￿ to Carers
