Committee Annual report 2023
Little Otters Children’s Centre has had another successful year, remaining busy throughout the year.
We have continued to have a small staff team with a reduction in places available. This approach has worked really well for the setting holistically as the children have more space to explore, learn and thrive. The adults know their key children really well, have more time to spend with them and the children have consistency in their care and education. The staff team work closely together between the two rooms with excellent lines of communication and provide smooth transitions between Pups Room and Otters Room.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff team for their hard work and flexibility over the last 12 months.
I would also like to thank the committee for their support over the last 12 months. We would not be able to operate without the commitment from our parent/carer volunteers.

Plans for the future
We are awaiting the outcome of the Tesco blue token fund raiser, which ended in June 24. This will add more money to our fundraising balance.
The next project will be raising money towards replacing the soft tarmac to the front of the building. The tarmac is cracking in many places so has been placed as a priority. This project will be high in cost so we will be looking at any available grants which may fund the work as well as fundraising.
