The 2023 year has seen material Ct￿r￿ in in￿& and ex￿n￿lIura on significant items. tuming
reported surpluses in 2021 and 2022 into a substsntial defiot. This is largely due to liming
diffgrgnces. Taking the thr8e years t(NJ8th8r. we are trmoadty in balance. Huwever there are some
developing imbalances which need to be addressed.
We maintained strong rxh reseThes (still exceeding £50.￿0 at year end. but reduung during
2023124) and have Wential for revenue inmses through membership fees. user fee5, hall hires
and events. We planned a major Centre Upgrade in summer 2024. to be furKled by grants and an
appeal, bul this is now rescheduled for 2025. We have recnjiled {November 20231 a Membership
& Events Manager {a5 a part lime employee) lo Wp prryjU￿ the extra revenue.
The timing differen￿ impact for 2023 compared wth 2021 and 2022 y￿Ude Ca￿ts1 works
