The income and assets ol Chaiity are apphed solely towards the promotion of its objects
as set out in the Arb'des of Associalion. In summary. these are",

The 2022 year has seen a 9ood recovery from the Covid shov4Tr tn 2021, bul there are slill
eff¢¢ts. Fireworks1£15,0001 and Hall Hires lover £I0,000} are again making important eontribulion5.
Membership revenue has increased slighuy (we did not inuease subsuiptions)," n¢)w over £20,000_
We are rnis¥ing several non-recurring revenue items compared with 2021. although we did ieoive
one small Covid grant labout£2,5001. We have also 705f the misleading revenue boost ofthe Green
Belt 4opeal1£64,000 in 20211 and ￿1¢h, net ol campaiyn cosls. showed as net income In 2tr21 of
about £24,000. This year Green Be￿ is almost neutral.
Expendiknre is less than 2021 bul again fir￿ rele¢*"ng the change in Green Belt aclivity1£40,000 in
2021, but little in 20221. The main 2022 cost item5 were budgeted for Centre Upgrade through hithèr
building works. but these were pos1poned. We also budgeted to employ a new General m￿ager for
half a year. but she stsrted only in Septembef.
Overall, we are shoknqng anoiher SLtrplus- aboth £15.000 fvr 2022- aftef about £10.000 in 2021,. both
net ol Green Belt.
As last year, it is ￿fficUltI0 provide a firm'budget for 2023 and Ihis has yet lo be ¢Js¢)J5sed by
Trustees. However. lor another Surplus. we need to generate more money from Events and Hall Hires
to ¢o¥er the in¢reased expendrture on a lull year employmenl of the General Manager and some lower
shared user income (with Dance retiring and Bridge tsknng a *ynter break). Our new F¢)tstball Club wll
bring more in¢ome but broadty only Covering costs in this fvst year.
The big impact will be through Centre Upgrade. now planned summer 2023, and how muth ofthe
cost Can be ¢overed by grants and appeal fijnding.
We have built up cash reserves {pa￿Y on account of Centr¢ V￿a￿e) in various deposit accounts.
Imth Ihe retum of real interest rates. the Tr￿lee$ are rewiewng the investrTrent ol our fvnds.
IAle also note that our Treasurer resigned in 2022 and has yet to be replaced. Our financial
administration refftains well covered by Managers. %%ith accountant suppor( but actively seek

which 8 small defitit on unrestricted ijnds would have been incu￿ed. Monie5 received in respe¢t
of the Green Belt Fund campaign are ring fenced for use for that campaign only. It is probable
that a deficit could incur in 202212023. However. the Trustee5 consider thal. as there
are sufficient reserve5 brought fotward. there are no material uncertainties about the Charity's
ability to continue 8s a going c4)ncem r¢or any Si￿lficant areas of unwlainty that affect Ihe
ca￿ing value of assets held by the Chaiity.
Exemption from preparing a cash flow statement
The Charty opted to early adopl Bullets"n I published on 2 February 2016 and have therefore
