The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Act 2006, present their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year 1 April 2020 to 31 March 2021. The financial statements comply with Charities Act 2011, the Companies Act 2006, the Memorandum and Articles of Association and Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK (FRS 102).

STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT
Governing document
The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated on 5 October 1999 which commenced operations on 1 April 2000. The charity was registered on 9 February 2000. ; .
The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the company and is governed by its Articles of Asscciation. .
Recruitment and appointment of new trustees : The trustees retire each year at the annual general meeting and can be re-appointed if willing and eligible. New trustees are invited to serve the company at the discretion and approval of existing board members. .
Risk management . The trustees have a duty to identify and review the risks to which the charity is exposed and to ensure appropriate controls are in place to provide reasonable assurance against fraud and error.

The principal activity of the Charity is to promote, improve and advance the education of the public by the encouragement and promotion of the Arts.

ACHIEVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE : Charitable activities During the last year the Charity continued its principal activities of promoting and encouraging all aspects of the Arts in the United Kingdam, and in so doing seeking to enhance the understanding and education of the general public thereto. . FINANCIAL REVIEW
The Charity had a surplus for the period under review of £13,236 (2020: deficit £117).
The Trustees uphold their commitment to ensure there is sufficient funding to maintain the activities of the Charity.
Reserves policy . The charity maintains sufficient funds in order to remain solvent and :o continue its work to promote the arts. .

Any interest on funds held on ceposit is included when receivable.
FUTURE DEVELOPMENTS
The Charity proposes to continue increasing its public profile and seek new sources of income to enable it to expand its programme in line with its principal activity. .

1 ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Accounting convention
:
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention, and in accordance with the Financial Reporting standard for Smaller Entities (effective April 2008), the Companies Act 2006 and t*e requirements of the Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended Practice (FRS 102).
Incoming recognition
All income is included on the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity is legally entitled to the income and the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy.

Expenditure
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that aggregate all costs related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they have been allocaced to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Taxation
The charity is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of the trustees. Restricted funds can only be used for particula. restricted purposes within the objects of the charity. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular restricted purposes.
