ACCOUNTS AND TRUSTEE REPORT
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 30th SEPTEMBER 2022
INTRODUCTION
1.1 The Speaker's Trust (formerly the Mayorfs Trust) was established by the London
Borough of Tower Hamlets on 261h January 2000.
1.2 The objective of the trust fund is to provide benefit to the inhabitants of the London
Borough of Tower Hamlets.
1.3 The trust has charttable status and is registered with the Charity Commission.
(Registration No. 1079150).
TRUSTEES
2.1 The current tfustees are as set out below:
The Speaker of the Council (Cllr Saif Uddin Khaled)
The Deputy Speaker of the Council (Cllr Suluk Ahmed)
ACTIVITIES FOR THE YEAR
3.1 Following the 'Covid year. of 202￿21 when no activity could take pla￿ the Trust
once again became active.
3.2 Donations were re￿iVed as a result of fund raising activities carried out during the
year. The initial activities were a charity ball and dinner and fundraising raffle
3.3 The funds, in the amount of £ 12.000 are to be distributed to The Patchwork
Foundation, Capital Kids Cricket and Soytten Sen School of Performing Arts.

FINANCIAL REPORT
4.1 The trust had a balan￿ brought forward from 2020121 of £ 4,681-39. Additional
net funds (after fundralsing expenses) were generated during the year totalling £
11.836-275 meaning that total funds available to spend on donations and other
fundraising activities was 16,517-66.
4.2 Of the above sum donations of £ 12.000-00 are to be made leaving a balan
carried forward into 2022123 of £ 4,517-66.
4.3 The financial accounts are as set out in Appendix 1.
