Summary of the main Formby Branch have actively supported the following ATC achievements of the Squadrons 611 Woodvale Sqn. 281 Southport Sqn. 1026 branch during the year Ormskirk Sqn. 1128 Crosby Sqn. 2348 Maghull Sqn. 2275 Walton Sqn 1439 Skelmersdale Sqn. With grants for equipment to benefit the Cadet. In support of transport. Air Rifle Range. Computer equipment A successful Wings week in Formby and Botanic Gardens Churchtown Southport raised £620. A donation of £50000 was made to the development of Rothbury House A donation of £20000 was made to the RAF Benevolent Fund A grant of £500 was given to the Botanical Gardens to develop a floral Roundel dedicated to the RAF Association keeping the Association in the spotlight in Southport. Sadly our previous secretary Fred Jones has reluctantly given up his membership for health reasons at the ripe old age of 96. Even so he keeps a sharp eye on us.
