The tru8tees present thelr report wlth the financial statements of the charity for the year onded
31 December 2024. The tNstee8 have adopted the provlslon8 Df Accounting and Reportlng by
Charities: Statement of Recommended Practlce applicable to Gharities preparing their accounts in
accordanGe with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable In th8 UK and Republic of Ireland
(FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019).
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES

The church exlsts for the Worship of God and the religiou8, moral and intellectual development of
the congregation, who rnay from tlme to Ilme ass6mble therein for such purposes,, provided that no
regulation Shall at any time be mad8 whereby the acceptanG8 of any creed, artlcle of Gonf8881on of
faith shall bo ejtablished as a Gondltlon of holdlng the office of Minister or cf church memb6rship,
The Trustee$ aro an independent body wotftlng In conjunction with the church committee and the
Minister. Their respon6ibilities Include the iip-kgep of the chuTGh premis08 and the cemetery at
Hol8bottom,' the 8UPPOrt of the ministry and the regulating and maintenance of church funds and
invest'ments.
The Church and anGillary rooms are used not only by mernb¢r8 Qf the congregation but also by
other groups and organisat5on8 Within the local communl'ty area. Activities Includ8 meditalion,
book readings, workshops & musiGal and Gharity function8.
The attached financial statements show the current state of the finan¢@s which the Trusta08
Gonsider to be sound.

I report to the charity trustees on my examination of th6 a¢¢ounts of Trustees of Bury Unitarlan
Church (the Trust> for the year ended 31 December 2024.
Responslbllltles and basi8 of report
As the charfty trustees of the Trust you are responsible for tho preparation of th3 accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the Act'>.
I report in resp6ct of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under Section 145 of the
Act and in carrylng out my examinatlon I hav3 followed all appllcable Dlrections glven by the
Charity Commission under Section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

Basls of preparing the financlal statements
The financial stalernents of the charity, whl¢h 18 a public benefit entity under FRS 102, have
been prepar8d In accordance wlth the Charitles SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and Reportlng
by Charities: Statement of R¢comm&nded Practice applicable to charities preparing their
accounts In accordance wlth the FlnanGial Reporting Standard applicable In the UK and
Republic of Irsland (FRS 102) {8ff6Ctive 1 January 2019),, Fln8ncial Reporting Standard 102
'The Flnanclal Reportlng Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the
Chorlties A¢E 2011. The financlal statements have been pi'epared under the hlstorl¢al cost
convention, with the ex￿ptIOn of investments which are inclLided at market valu¢, ag
modifi8d by the r8valuat]on of certaln assets.
Income
All Income is recognised in the Statement of Flnanclal Actlvltles once th$ charity has
ent,itlem8nt to the funds, it is probable that the inGome will be recefved and the amount can
be measured reliably.
Expenditure
Liabllities are recognlsed as expendlture as soon as Ihere is a legt11 or construclive obligation
comrnitting the charlty to that expenditure, it is probable that a transfer of economic benefit8
will be requlred In settlernent and the amoullt of the obllgatlon can be mea8ured reliab￿.
Expenditura is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headln98
