## Activities

**Objects:** The Charity is established for the benefit of abused women and their children and is working to end violence against women. The Charity believes that violence against women is an obstacle to the achievement of equality and development. The Charity understands that violence against women is both a cause and a consequence of women’s unequal position in society. The Charity believes that violence against women both violates and impairs or nullifies the enjoyment by women of their human rights and fundamental freedoms.2.1 The Charity&#x27;s objects are restricted specifically, in each case only for the public benefit to:(a) relieve the distress and increase the safety of women and children  who have experienced or are exposed to domestic abuse by the provision of specialist support, advice, temporary accommodation, grants of money, items, facilities and any other services or activities that may relieve their circumstances and protect their mental and physical health;(b) relieve the distress and increase the safety of anyone who has experienced or is exposed to domestic abuse by the provision of specialist support, advice, temporary accommodation, grants of money, items, facilities and any other services or activities that may relieve their circumstances and protect their mental and physical health, on the basis that such activities ultimately benefit women and children by improved understanding and the reduction of domestic violence;(c) work in partnership with third sector, statutory and other relevant agencies to promote and facilitate effective responses to domestic abuse; and(d) inform and educate agencies, organisations and the general public through talks, training and publicity about the causes, effects and prevention of domestic abuse and about the services provided by the Charity and to undertake or contribute to research into such matters and to publish the useful results of such research.
