2024 started with a bang! In January Acorn Music Theatre performed A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens at the Kenton Theatre here in Henley on Thames. The script was Acornised by Gail Rosier, our Artistic Director and cast members and the music was written and sung by the cast. It was an amazing experience for the actors and the audiences alike.
In July a 3 night performance of East of the Sun, West of the Moon was to be held in a garden in Shiplake, the first 2 nights went as planned but, unfortunately the weather was against us fir the 3[rd] and final performance, so we had to urgently find an alternative venue. Shiplake Memorial Hall came to our rescue and saved the day!
Our treasurer and Trustee, Derek Harding, resigned his post due to other commitments. He was a valued member of the team and will be missed. Derek was thanked for all his hard work, which was greatly appreciated.
Two new Trustees joined: Lagle-Mai Vincent and Sophie Dix. They have lots to offer and we are delighted they have joined us. We are also delighted that Trustee, Lucie Henward, has agreed to be the new treasurer.
