The Charity provides free, impartial. Confideniial and independent advice for the benefit of the local community
in Broxlowe and the widei Nottln8hamshire community as appropriate. We also exercise a responsible influenee
on the development of social policies and services and to ensure individuals do not suffer through lack Of
knowlcdgc or an inabilsty to expr¢ss iheir needs effectively.
Th¢ Charity's aetivities benefit the public by providing advice tg ¢nabl¢ individuals to deal with probl¢ms kn
th¢ir liY¢s. including but not limited to finfynei(tl, housing and employment issues. The charity also seeks to
influence policies and services io help rcduc¢ th¢￿ problcms in the long iemi.

During Ihe Year 2022-23 we saw a hugc upsurge in demand for our services due to the Cost of Living Crisis and
we exp¢ct this to increase fiirther in 2023-2024. We continu¢ to work in collaboration with national CitizeTJS
Advice and local partners to bridge any gaps in advi¢¢ and inforniation and aid 5UStainability for the future.

Financial review
The organi5ation enjoyed a siable financial position across the year with incorne of £577k and expenditure of
£)) Ik, generating a small 5UTpliis tsf £20k. Boih income and ¢xp¢ndiwrc exclude income received froTll filnders
which is immediatcly passcd on to partner organisations. principally other NottinghaTllshire Local Citszens
Advice offices. In addition. the pension deficit reduced frorn £360k ai 31 March 2022 to £53k ai 31 MaTch 2023
as a result of actuarial factors.
