## **9. TRUSTEES' EXPENSES**

No expenses were paid to any Trustees during the year, except to re-imburse them for purchases made on behalf of the charity.

## **10. TRUSTEES' INDEMNITY INSURANCE**

No charitable funds have been used to purchase insurance to indemnify the Trustees against the consequences of any neglect or default on their part.

## **11. ACCOUNTING POLICIES**

Cuckoo Meadow Pre-School is a registered charity and as such is governed by the Charities Act 2011.

As the charity's gross income does not exceed £250,000 in any financial year and does not have gross assets over £3.26 million, we elect to prepare a receipts and payments account, and a statement of assets and liabilities instead of a statement of accounts under section 132(1). An audit is not required due to the gross income and assets not being exceeded, but an independent examination is carried out as the charity's income exceeds £25,000 pa. This offers some independent assurance that the charity's money has been properly accounted for and accounting records kept.
