Pleasley Pit Trust protects & shares the industrial, natural & cultural heritage of Pleasley Pit, Derbyshire. We bring to life mining heritage through education, volunteering, community learning and nature-based activities. We improve wellbeing, support biodiversity and community connection while caring for this nationally important historic site operating across Derbys, Notts & nearby areas.
Objects: 1. To promote the conservation, protection, and enhancement of the natural, industrial, and cultural heritage of Pleasley Pit, including its mining history, landscape, and associated environments, for the benefit of the public.2. To advance the education of the public in the natural, industrial, and cultural heritage of Pleasley Pit, including through the provision of interpretive materials, guided tours, exhibitions, events, and community learning opportunities.
