It is govemed by a deed ol trust last updated in November 2CK)3. anizational Structure The charity Iruslees are responsible lor the general conlrol and management ol the charity. The trustees give their lime freely and receive no remuneration or oiher financial benefits. The trustees mee tog8lh9r as a t>ody bi-monthly and are reswnsible for all decisions taken in relation to running the Mosque and tls faciltties. and activitiès provided by the charity. The trustees also overse8 decision making of the Mazahirul Uthm School. To ensure the smooth running of ihe school and ils compliance wrth the Education IlThJeperKJent Schools Stsndards) EThJland Regulations 2010. the charity trustees have sel up a separate mar¢agement committee for the SCI1 for day-to-day management. The school management committee meets every week. The day-to-day managemenl of the Mosque and facilities and its projecls is undertaken by tnjslees who are act as Its volunteers. The current trustees have been long time trustees and this has help&Y provide stslty and continuity and local confidence. We meet these objects for the benefit of the wbltc, and we do this through the provision of the Mosque and its religious activities and the School. The Mosque is open lor the fNe dajly prayers. the Friday prayers being a focus ol our social and comrnunty devgkjpmenl and Ihe School operates frorn the same building premises as the mosqLte bul in separated area. Reli ious activitles Our Masjidlschool provides a facility for our fNe daity prayers and worship and for the activities associated with our faith. During the year under review. we offered full Tange of religious services in general. All COVID 19 iestriclions were revied and wthdrawn. Pra ers. The Mosque is open all 7 days for daity and Fttday prayers All COVID-19 reslrietions reviewed and withdrawn. During the week we have 5(MJ-750 people who regUlaY attend daily prayers and over 5Tr) who regularly attend Frhday prayers. During Ramadan the charty operated full semces ol lttar preparation, Taraweeh Prayers, eid prayers and other possible speciai religious events and seNices. Hrfz classes." Memorization ol the Qulan is consid8red an important element ot religious education and training. The school provides National Curriculum education. as well as faith based learning, for 5 Secondary schi)ol classes from Year 7 to 11 totalling 125 students of which 15 completed their secondary education and left with a minimum of 9 GCSE'5. All of whom went on to further education. The school also excels in pastoral caie having built and maintained excellent rel3tion5hips with parents. We believe that thi5 is vital to enabling us to delNef a quality education service to Ouf student5. Mazahirul Uloom London also provides evening and weekend supplementary cla55es for children between the ages 5-16, the total number of students attendinE these classes are 90. These students are drawn from the local community who do not necessarily attend the regular school. The school has built on earlier successes and has given more focus to students and staff well-being . Ofsted began their most recent report120211 with.. 'Pupils said that they enjoy school a great deal because it IS 50 welcoming. This sums up what it is like to attend Mazahirul Uloom perfectly. The welcoming and inclusive cultire brings everyone together. As a result, pupils are cared for well" Numbers at the school are healthy and we have more applications than we can actommodate Icurrently 120 sudentsl. Teachers are happy that the school works to help them maintain felexible and comfortable work-life balance which is one perhaps the main. reason that staff retention is not problem at MUL As Ofsted reported.. "there is a strong emphasis by the headteacher on ensuring that staff workload is managabel. Staff greatly appreciate the flexibility they have to balance work and home life" At MUL we believe that these issues are important in order that we nay fulfil our larger mission of what the charity stand5 for. This Iree reserve has fallen as the year ended and the board is working to improve during the year 202412025 onward. As there is nolurther capital committment the charty has no concem ol its going concgm operation. Premlses extension This year also the charity carried out some major repairs costin8 over £30K.
