## **Report by the President to the AGM on 15 February 2023** I would like to thank all those who have offered me their support over the coming year. I would ask the club members in general to consider how they may also help to support the team to succeed in their fund raising, community support activities and social activity events. I can confirm that many hands do indeed make light work and many of the tasks are much less onerous knowing that you have willing helpers Through its activities, Stamford Kiwanis help to develop the community spirit in Stamford and the surrounding district. The funds raised at these events continue to support many of the local population either as direct beneficiaries or through charitable organisations. In these current times our activities are ever more necessary, so our continued presence is a force for good within the town. Whilst organising events and fund raising is key to what we do it isn’t all that the Kiwanis are about, we are a very social bunch of like minded people who aim to have fun through social gatherings, evening meals and comradery. The value of this should never be underestimated and I for one have made many long standing friendships with both current and past members.
