ACTIVITIES AND ACHIEVEMENTS FOR 2022/23 AND COMMITMENTS FOR 2023/24

This financial year saw the Campaign for Alzheimer’s Research Europe consolidate its mission to support collaborative research between the UK and Europe with the opening of an office in France and the establishment of a pan European Scientific Committee. Such collaborative investment into causes of, and therapies for, Alzheimer’s disease is imperative following the post-Brexit loss of European funding support to British neuroscience research. The Charity continues to invest in travel bursaries for young scientists and to provide international conference support where research results and ideas are shared. In addition, the Campaign for Alzheimer’s Research Europe has awarded UK research funding in the field of stem cell therapy to commence in the summer of 2023. The Charity keeps its overheads to a minimum in order to maximise its financial support for research.

My examination was carried our in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission.
