HMH annual report June Z024
Summary
This last year and been another great year for the Hall. Bookings have remained
buoyant and we are now fully booked every week, the financials are better than
ever with circa £IOOk surplus in the bank despite have some significant outlays
this year. The booking fees will remains static for the 13th year in a row (subject
to an AGM Vote) which helps promote maximum usage for all the community
regardless of their financial position. It was also our goal to ensure no one in the
community was excluded from using the Hall regardless of financial position.
access, disability, age or any outside influences.
Details
This year sees the 17th anniversary of the new Trustees sitting around this table
and the Hall remains well maintained with a number of large jobs complete
including the new heating system and a number of small but important
maintenance jobs. The trustees recognise the fantastic work Malcolm does as
the caretaker. Malcolm does so much over and above this as just a job. We've
had no fundraising events because we don't need them however, we have bee
donated to the parish council again as the sponsor of the marquee to support
the Parish Council Annual Fair. The Hall is in a great place in terms of the
management of the facility and is a superb facility for the community still than
to the Trustees, who I would like to thank again, each and every one of you, a
it's been an absolute pleasure working with you again this year. Special thank
go out to Peter for doing all the account and anything financial and to David
Brown for the maintenance job he does working alongside Malcolm where
necessary. I would like to thank Malcolm again for being caretaker
extraordinaire, Rachael for her secretarial duties.
Finally
Even though we do a lot of work that most people don't see l am sure that
Hall users really appreciate our efforts in keeping this as Yorks leading and
run community facility.
Thank you all.
