Structure and Management
The Rotary Club of Stockport Lamplighter Trust Fund (the Trust) is funded by and makes donations on behalf of the Rotary Club of Stockport Lamplighter (the Club). The Trustees are members of and are appointed by the Club, to whom they are responsible.
The Trustees ensure the safe keeping of funds and their donations to good causes as directed by the Club and are governed by a trust deed dated 21* June 1990.
Objectives
The Trust’s objectives are defined by its trust deed as:
“The relief of the poor and needy or to or for such other charitable purpose, institution, society or object as the Club shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time direct”
Performance and Achievements
During the year, the Trust fulfilled its charitable purpose by making donations totalling £23,142, principally to organisations supporting those in need in the local area such as food banks, churches, schools, sports clubs, and similar organisations. £7,296 was donated to overseas causes through their UK offices.
Funds were raised by the members of the Club and other volunteers through several initiatives, principally a Christmas collection and a summer Open Gardens event.
Public Benefit
The trustees confirm they have followed the requirements of Section 4 of the Charities Act 2006, 2011, to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
Other Matters
As of 30" June 2025, the Trust had no employees and 4 volunteer trustees
The Trust complies with the policy on Safeguarding Adults and Children published by Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland. There were no risk events during the year.
The Trust has no ongoing commitments and does not, therefore, have a reserves policy. As of 30" June, unrestricted funds totalled £29,442 held in cash (2024: £32,044).

Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”).
