Structure and Management
The Rotary Club of Stockport Lamplighter Trust Fund {the Trust) is funded by and makes donations on behalf of
the Rotary Club of Stockport Lamplighter (the Club). Thetrustees are members of and are appointed by the
Club. to whom they are responsible. The trustees ensure the safe keeping of fund5 and their donation to good
causes as diretted by the Club and are governed by a trust deed dated 21° June 1990.
Objectives
The Trust'5 objeclives are defined by its trust deed as: 'The relief of tne poor and needy or to or for such other
charitable purpose, institution, society or objett as the aub shall in duly constituted meeting from time to time
direct,
Performante and Achlevements
During the year, the Trust fulfilled its charitable purpose by making donations totalling £22,463, principally to
organisations sUPPOrting those in need in the local area such as food banks. churches, schools, sports clubs,
and similar organisations. £4,750 was donated to overseas causes through their UK offices.
Funds were raised by the members ofthe Club and other volunteers through a number of initiative5. principallv
a Christmas collection based around the aub's Santa Sleigh and a summer Open Garden5 event.
Public Benefit
The trustees confirm they have complied with the requirements of S4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due
regard to public benefft guidan￿ published by the Charity Commission for England and Wales
Other Matters
At 30 June, the Trust had no employees and 4 volunteer trustees.
The Trust complies with the policy on Safeguarding Adults and Children published by Rotary in Great Britain
and Ireland. There were no risk events during the year.
The Trust has no ongoing commitments and does not therefore have a reserrfes policy. As at 30 June 2024,
unrestritted funds totalled £32,004 held in cash {2023.. £29,110}.

outstanding cheques totalling £4361. 2023 Expenditure stated above has been adjusted to
reflect this sum.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of The Rotsry Club of Stockport Lampli#her
Trust Fund I'the Trust'l for the year ended 30June 2024.
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charitytrustees of theTrustyou are responsible forthe preparation ofthe accounts in accordance
with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Act,).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out under section 145 of the Act
and in carrying Out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 14515){bl of the Act.
Independent examinerfs statement
I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in
connection with the examination givin8 me cause to believe that in any material ￿Spect.
l. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as ￿qUired by section 130 of the Act; or
2. the accounts do not accord with those records.
I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which
attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to
be reached.
