**Objects:** TO PROMOTE ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSE FOR THE BENEFIT OF FAMILIES IN THE WIGAN METROPOLITAN BOROUGH AREA AND IN PARTICULAR THE RELIEF OF POVERTY THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FINANCIAL HELP AND OTHER RESOURCES WHICH INCLUDE, INFORMATION, ADVICE AND SUPPORT

**Activities:** Wigan Family Welfare offer advocacy and counselling to both adults and children.  It provides mental health advocacy, independent mental health advocacy, children's advocacy and supports a self advocacy group for people with Learning Disabilities .  The counselling it provides is in a variety of settings from certain Secondary Schools to Sure Start Children's Centres.
