**Objects:** THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, ARE:1. TO RELIEVE THE CHARITABLE NEEDS OF WOMEN ARTISTS PRIMARILY AGED OVER 40 BY THE PROVISION OF GRANTS, BURSARIES AND SUCH OTHER SUPPORT AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE.2. TO ADVANCE THE ARTS CREATED BY WOMEN PRIMARILY AGED OVER 40, THROUGH THE PROVISION OF RESIDENCIES.

**Activities:** We offer women writers (aged over forty) occupancy of Church Cottage for between two weeks and two months, to pursue personal work on any subject, intended for publication or performance. Appointments are made on merit. The Cottage is in Clifford Chambers, a village two miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. It is equipped comfortable and private. We pay bills and occasionally offer a bursary.
