## LANGTOFT PRE-SCHOOL TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT (CONTINUED) YEAR ENDED 31 AUGUST 2023

## Objectives and activities (continued)

Langtoft Pre-School aims to provide the best possible educational start for the children in a clean, safe and stimulating environment where educational, social and physical development can be fostered. We have had a more positive year with numbers of children on role increasing throughout the "year. It also looks like the new school year will continue to be busy with a high number of children ready to start. We have taken on a new member of staff and we have received good feedback from the parents whose children started primary school in September.

The Trustees have considered the guidelines issued by the Charity Commission on Public Benefit and are of the opinion that the criteria are being met within the Objectives and Activities of the charity.

## Financial review

The trustees considered the financial performance of the charity for the year under review to be satisfactory.

The Pre-school continues to receive Lincolnshire County Council educational funding.

.

During the year, the Pre-school has received a GlobalGiving grant made in partnership with Cummins Foundation amounting to £3,982. The grant was received to support general operating activities.

In common with such organisations the financial position is constantly monitored and forecasts of budgets reviewed regularly, as such the trustees consider the financial position to be satisfactory and no changes to the present position are anticipated within the foreseeable future. The trustees are constantly reviewing the Reserves Policy.

|

The trustees aim to hold reserves to enable us to meet any unforeseen expenditure that may occur and also to ensure that we can meet our statutory liabilities.

At the 31 August 2023 we held cash reserves of £14,772.
