September 2022
The Parkstone Kids Club is now in the 25[th] year of providing a childcare service to the community. We are based within the Riverside Community Centre which is on the same site of the Parkstone Primary School.
At the moment we have 20+ families on our register which means parents/carers are able to work, train or seek employment knowing that their children are happy in our safe environment.
Our staff have updated their annual update service that is required. Completed Level 1 & 2 Safeguarding. Health & Safety in the work place. Paediatric First Aid and other relevant training and courses. Policies and procedures are reviewed and updated when required.
What impact Covid-19 had on Kids Club
- We reopened as from September 2021 with reduced restrictions but our children’s numbers still remain low and Kids Club have had to reduce staff hours.

Future Plans/Sustainability
This grant helped Kids Club massively and gave our staff the job stability for the future months. Kids Club have put in place the below to help us continue to grow.
-
Been managed by qualified and experienced staff in a caring and stimulating environment.
-
Children will be able to take part in planned activities, in the moment and free play while interacting with school friends of mixed age groups and cultures.
-
Offering play facilities and equipment, together with welcoming the involvement of parents and carers, ensuring Kids Club activities are for all children, whatever their race, culture, religion, means or ability.
-
Children will be properly supervised until parents and carers are able to collect them. This will also encourage parents/carers to seek employment or training, knowing that their child/ren are safe and happy.
-
Promoting public awareness and interest in the work of Kids Club by holding open days, fundraising events, publicity events and advertise.
