Firstly, we arrange a programme of social events during the year which include a Children’s Halloween Party, a Christmas Craft Fair, a Christmas Tree Lighting Event and an annual two week Festival in June comprised of a range of events and which becomes the highlight event in our calendar.

Secondly, we publish and distribute monthly a subscription based magazine to residents through a network of volunteers who deliver to the individual addresses.

Achievements and performance

Summary of the main Our primary event during the year was the Festival in June which was : ; extremely popular and successful. There was a range of different events achievements of the charity . . cae during the year during the fortnight but the highlight was, as ever, the Summer Fete which provided a wide range of amusements and activities enjoyed by the nearly 500 people in attendance. Our Link magazine is distributed each month to approximately 1,000 households by a team of 60 volunteers. This carries articles and advertising from various local groups providing much interest to subscribers. It is a longstanding publication and is widely enjoyed and respected for its quality in content and presentation.

We have a number of local groups who also affiliate with us and who regularly submit articles of their past and forthcoming activities to the Link magazine which widens the overall appeal that LCA has to offer.
