AGM Minutes 2025

  1. Welcome: Present - Dan, Rene, Jude, Stuart, Mark, Paul plus Friends of the Green - Ann, Paul and Helen, Paul Foley

Jacinta has retired, remains as a Friend of the Green. Judith shared letter of resignation after over 25 years.

2. Review of Previous AGM (Sept 2024) - all agreed

Matters Arising - green bins - Jude met the new councillor to discuss green bins - he will look into it (keen to help church yards, charities and schools) Barbara Cotteril discussion - dead hedging

3. Reports and Updates

Chairpersons Report - Jude shared - confirmed all new trustees, health and safety, the future (see notes in folder). Judith reports an increase in people using the Green - people reading and picnicking. The VE Day celebrations went very well. Proposal to use the Green for Christmas Carols (via Penny O’Hagan, Town Council). We agreed that it is a beautiful space and a place to be happy.

Treasurers Report

Key notes - increase in insurance of nearly £200. We have received very generous donations totalling £2400. Grants - £21419 received. Sales of logs £60. Bank Commision - we now pay to take change from the Post Office. Government grants for electricity - ours has been used for standing charge. Will now run out by end of May. Lucy to research a tariff (with no standing charge).

Looking to the future - with usual outgoings of electricity, insurance, mowing £2500. Paul recommends there will be approx £3000 in reserve following plant fair sales, grants and any other income (which is
