The**
**tank’s design life is thirty years. It provides**
**for 220 families many of whom have the**
**water supplied to their homes by pipe.**
**3.Feeding Programmes for students and families**
**from economically challenged families.**
·
**300 food bags were supplied to the Tolupan**
**marginalised indigenous people group.**
·
**1000 food bags were supplied to the Lenca**
**marginalised indigenous people group.**
·
**3000 food bags were given to people in the**
**Valle de Angeles.**
·
**10 months food was supplied to five**
**schools to provide free lunches for all the**
**pupils three days a week. 800 children**
**benefitted.**
·
**Parties were provided for a total of 2415**
**children, not only to have a fun time but**
**also for the children to receive a nutritious**
**meal during the long summer holidays**
**when pressure is on the food available at**
**home. Of these children, 215 are in the**
**suburbs of the capital, 130 on the north**
**coast near La Ceiba, and the remainder in**
**the rural area of the Valle de Angeles.**
·
**An extra £1000 was given for extra schools**
**for 800 children to have parties.**
**4.Sustainable Projects**
·
**622 fruit trees were supplied to the**
**Tolupanpeople, also £233 worth of seeds.**|
|---|---|---|

- **£1150 was spent on seeds for the Lenca peoples.**

- · **300 Fruit trees were supplied to schools and families at Comayaguela located in the NW outskirts of the capital, Tegucigalpa.**

- · **400 fruit trees were supplied to colleges.** · **150 fruit trees were supplied to schools, also seeds.**

- · **200 fruit trees were supplied for families in the Valle de Angeles community, also £2000 worth of vegetable seeds.**

- · **The opportunity for the poorer people to eat fruit and vegetables is limited, so the trees and seeds are an opportunity for them to enjoy this important part of their diet.**

- **We restocked 4 school hen houses at 4 schools/colleges: Hector Medina, Guanacaste, Retiro, San Juancito, all close to the Valle de Angeles. This restocking was necessary after 2 years of Covid shut down.**

- **A new hen house was constructed and stocked with hens for Guaimaca College, 35 miles NE of Tegucigalpa,**

- **The above chicken projects provide eggs and chicken meat for the college kitchens, and also educate the older students in raising the hens and preparing them for the table. Chicken is important as it is often the only type of meat that the children receive.**

## **5.Education Sponsorship.**

- **1900 children’s education was sponsored. This sponsorship provides: the exercise books, pens, crayons and other school equipment which these children must have to attend state schooling and is thus very good value for money. This equipment is too expensive for the poorest parents, and without which these children would not be allowed to access the free education at state schools.**

## **6.Other Educational Projects.**

- **A second hand large fridge-freezer was provided for the Macuelizo school kitchen.**

- · **A Dining room was built for Macuelizo School and furnished with: 7 tables, 70 chairs, dishes, cutlery and beakers.**

|·|**To 5 schools we supplied: 5 book cases,**|
|---|---|
||**and 350 books, 1 laminator, 3**|
||**scanners/printers plus paper and**|
||**cartridges. We also supplied: 3 mini**|
||**libraries, 180 books.**|

||**College. Old sewing machines were**|
||**repaired and new machines bought. Also**|
||**tables were supplied and material bought**|
||**so that the students could make school**|
||**uniforms, as well as learning useful skills**|
||**improving their opportunity for future**|
||**employment.**|
|·|**During the year we extended the sewing**|
||**project in Guaimaca College, supplying**|
||**them and various primary schools with:**|
||**embroidery wooden rings, materials and**|
||**silks. Embroidery is a useful skill to acquire**|
||**in Honduras as it is a skill that can be used**|
||**for earning money.**|
|**7.Benefit Summary.**||

- **Covid and its lockdowns have exacerbated the difficulties for so many people in Honduras but we have managed to bring help and hope to many children and families who are struggling economically.**
