This is by newsletters,**
**presentations and its website at**
**chtrust.org.uk. The funds to finance these**
**activities come from donations in response to**
**the awareness programme. |Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.|Para 1.20||**1. Provision of Food for students and families**
**from economically challenged families.**
• **6000 food bags were given out to families.**
• **Food was supplied to our three feeding centres**
**to the continuing benefit of 700 children.**
• **Eight Christmas dinner parties were provided for**
**the benefit of 1200 children.**
• **On two visits to the Lenca and Tolupan peoples**
**food bags were taken, also biscuits and juice for**
**the children, Together with fruit trees and seeds**
**delivered on these 2 trips about 9000 people have**
**been helped.**
**2. Education.**
• **£10500 was spent on sponsoring 1500 Children**
**which enables them to receive State education.**
• **Five photocopiers have been supplied to small**
**schools. During lockdown this was a great help to**
**get school work to children and much appreciated**
**by both children and teachers.**
**3. Basic Housing for economically challenged**
**parents with children.**
• **16 houses were completed during the 2020/2021**
**year.**
**4. Horticulture.**
• **1643 fruit tree saplings were supplied in**
**2020/2021 for planting by these communities: The**
**Lenca and the Tolupan peoples, villages around the**
**Valle, also on the north coast and the outskirts of**
**Tegucigalpa.**
• **Seeds to the value of £2500 were supplied.**
**5. School Buildings.**
• **A dining room has been built at the Buena Vista**
**school. It has been fitted out with tables, chairs,**
**plates and beakers.**
**6. Mask Kits**
• **To help prevent the spread of the Covid virus,**
**1384 mask kits, apiece of soap andpouch of**|
|---|---|---|---|

**bleach were given out. The mask are of cloth so that they can be washed and re-used.**

|**7. Hurricane Relief**|
|---|
|•
**Two major hurricanes, Eta and Iota caused**|
|**severe flooding in the north of the country. We**|
|**helped through three ministries who we worked**|
|**closely with in the past. The money we provided**|
|**was used to buy food, small cooking stoves, 2**|
|**water pumps, mattresses and initially drinking**|
|**water.**|
|**8. Water Projects**|
|•
**El Retiro. The 120 families living in Retiro lack**|
|**any water services because of the remoteness of**|
|**the village. We built an open covered area with**|
|**10 washing pilas and enclosed a supply of spring**|
|**water from the ground. We also built 2 shower**|
|**cubicles for the ladies and a large tank for storing**|
|**and chlorinating drinking water.**|
|•
**Lenca. The Lenca people, who live in Yarula,**|
|**live in the drought corridor which stretches**|
|**across parts of several Central American**|
|**countries. Rain is in scarce supply but there is a**|
|**nearby reservoir. They used to have a water tank**|
|**to store water from this reservoir but it was**|
|**beyond economical restoration. We organised**|
|**and supplied the materials for a new 20,000 litre**|
|**tank to be built. The new tank will provide**|
|**drinking water for some 1500 to 2000 families,**|
|**serving an estimated 7,500 to 10,000 people or**|
|**more.**|
|• **Pedrigal. We provided two water pumps and**|
|**many metres of hose pipe in order to allow land**|
|**to be brought into food production. 2021 was the**|
|**first harvest which was shared with the feeding**|
|**centre in Pedrigal (250-300 children) and the local**|
|**community (300-350 children).**|

**9. Benefit Summary. The last two years have been very difficult for so many in Honduras but we have managed to bring help and hope to many children and families.**
