male rathef than female due to the prevalence characteristics of autism. The fees payable to the Twst are
significant and wtyjld be oJtswJe Ihe funding capaa.ty of all but a very lew families. Fees are in th$ main fully

tsken on. This is on th8 basis thal ihe Calé wwdes a S￿nIfICan1 benefit lo those pupi15 and adult learners from
Jigsaw + as part of their individual learnin9 plans for no charge is rn￿e. The Trustee5 review and agree

achievement. The number of pupils 8ttendin9 the school has increased duriThJ the 2024-25 academic year wilh
79 pupils on roll as al 31sl August 2025 oynpared to 76 al Ihe start of the academic year. Under Ihe terms of
Ihe agreement the school currently has wih Surrey County ￿n¢￿1, fees payable to the school increase in line
with the National Association of Special Sch￿￿ agreed fOr￿jIa at ihe start of ea(* academic ￿.
The Trustees wish to sincerdy thank all staff for their professionalism. dedicatK)n, resilièncè, and commitsnent
in Continuing to WOVKk a hKJh-quality sèrvice throughout the ￿ar. Their commithiènt to th& ￿h0o1 and the

With ihe ever%rowing pressure on local services, and uncertainty regarding the polilul and &conomic
environment, the need for fUndraIsn￿ at Jigsaw Trust increases year on year, for the various PToiects that
ènhancè the leaming enwronment. as thèse are not covered within the fees receiv•d frorn local auth￿tieS. Thè
locus for the fundraising team remains on seojring grant lundin9 aThJ building and maintaining lon9 term
relationships vAth a variety of supporters and funders. The assistance of our supporter5 and fvnder5 is vital lo
the future of the tharity. and their support has a direct impact ￿ the puFxl$ and adult leamers who use the
services of The Jigsaw Trust. The overall strategy of the fundrntsing team remains to seek lo diversify
fundraising income, sNJnificantly increase core income and build a strategic framework that ￿11 enabte Jrgsaw
Trust's fundraising activilies to alleviate financial pressure auoss the Trust.

FINANCIAL REVIEW
R•s•rves policy
The Trustees have agreed that the tharilatrAÈ company sh(xJld maintain unrÈslriclÈd funds. whi¢h are the free
reserves of the charitable company al a levd equivalent to cover approximately three month5 running costs of
The Jigsaw CABAS@ Sch¢x4. For Ihe financial 2024-25 three monlhs running costs are estimated lo be
£1.582.000 and the total unrestrictd reserves as at 31 August 2025 were £811.019. The Trustees recc¥Jnise that
it has proved difficult over Ihe years given the manner in which the Trust is funded to meet the current reserves
policy. Consequenyy, IhÈ Tnjstees are eX￿￿Ing an altemaiive predicaled on reasonable worst case 105$
scenario and it is anlicipated that the reserve$ kX)licy will be ￿ViSed durin9 th* 2025-26 financial yoat. That said,
th& Trustees remain fo¢used M ratsing add￿lOn11 fvnds to inwove reswves.

In March 2026, the Board of Trustees became aware of irregularities o)nceming a specific bank account held
by the charity. A comprehensive internal investigati¢)n was initiated immediately. The investigation identified that
former member of staff, whose eM￿OyMent has %nce been terniinated, had engaged in the misappropriatK)n
of charty funds over an extended per1￿. These historic transaclions are still being investigated., hO￿V•r, thè
Trusteès can tonfimi that this matter has nol compromised Ihe chariws financial solvency, op8raknonal
continuity, or its a￿"Ity to rts core charilable objectives. In accordance their Statutory duties and
commitment to regulatory compliance. the Trvstees submthad a sèrious inudènt rèport to the Charity
