During the year, payments of £16,010 (2024: £14,365) were made to Mrs S France, Trustee, in respect of her role as the Charity’s administrator and caretaker. 

During the year, payments of £1,113 (2024: £1,750) were made to Mrs A Matthews, Trustee, in respect of accounts services. 

Payments of £1,705 (2024: £2,557) were made during the year to R S Landscapes for grounds and general maintenance. Mr R S Edwards, Trustee, is the Proprietor of R S Landscapes.

## **Section C                    Objectives and activities** 

**Summary of the objects of the charity set out in its governing document** 

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Springfield and Sutton area and the neighbourhood together, defined by the ward boundaries without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants. To establish, or secure the establishment of, a community centre and to maintain and manage the same in furtherance of these objects. To promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined

The Trustees have had due regard to the revised Charity Commission guidance on public benefit. 

The main hall and meeting rooms have been let out to a variety of interest groups over the past year, some of which are long established and have been using the premises since it opened. 

For example in October 2023 the following groups used the building:-

Additionally to these regular users the hall is often hired for private parties, and concerts etc. 

## Section D                      Achievements and performance 

**Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year** 

The Chair thanked all members of the Committee for their continued support over the past twelve months, with again special thanks to Sue and Stefan for looking after the Centre and keeping it in top condition. Financially we remain in a very healthy position as bookings have been consistently high over the past year.  The Board are please that they have been able to use some of their funds to support the community by providing a defibrillator which is attached to the outside of the Centre. Thanks were offered to Sam Richards for her work in issuing the invoices each month.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above
charity ("the Trust") for the year ended 31 January 2025.
Responsibilities and As the charity trustees of the Trust, you are responsible for the preparation
basis of report of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act
2011 ('the Act.).
I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's accounts carried out
under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I
