To promote such other charitable purposes as may from time to time be determined
	The Trustees have had due regard to the revised Charity Commission guidance on public benefit. The main hall and meeting rooms have been let out to a variety of interest groups over the past year, some of which are long established and have been using the premises since it opened. For example in October 2023 the following groups used the building:- Ballet School Line Dancing Tai Chi Evangelical Church St Luke’s Christian Spiritualist Church Diddidance Recorders Bridge Club Language School Counselling Falls Group (NHS) Shropshire Quilters Sewing classes Spanish class Shrewsbury Ramblers Elevate Labour Party Sovereign Park Residents Association Additionally to these regular users the hall is often hired for private parties, and concerts etc.

Summary of the main achievements of the charity during the year

Over the past 12 months we have now returned to a position of relative normality following the COVID-19 Pandemic. This has been reflected in the high level of bookings and occupancy rates, which in turn is reflected in in the increased revenue. We therefore remain in a healthy position in terms of our financial resources which can only bode well for the future.

The board would like to thank all members of the Committee for their continued support and assistance over the past year. Special mention to Sue France for her untiring efforts in looking after the Centre and also its users. Thanks also to Ann Matthews for sorting out a few issues on the accounts side and for standing in over the past few months in order to ensure a smooth handover to Sam who is now issuing the invoices. We now look forward to a period of stability on all fronts.
