The trust's purpose is to create and maintain Allington Millennium Green, which includes 'natural' areas where people can enjoy Nature and wildlife at first hand. It is intended to be a semi-wild area, where visitors can simply walk and sit, with no provision for formal recreation of any kind. There is a huge diversity of wild plants on the Green, and it is the richest habitat in this area.
Objects: The Trustees Shall Hold The Trust Fund And Its Income Upon Trust To Apply Them To The Provision Of The Property And Shall Accordingly Hold Any Property To Provide And Maintain An Open Space To Be Known As "alington Millennium Green" For The Benefit Of The Inhabitant And To Be Used Forever As An Area For Informal Recreation Play Or Other Leisure -Time Occupations A Meeting Area Or A Place For Community Events And For Any Other Lawful Purposes Consistent With These Trusts And For The General Benefit Of The Community.
