Achievements and Performance

SORP reference

Summary of the main
achievements of the charity,
identifying the difference the
charity’s work has made to
the circumstances of its
beneficiaries and any wider
benefits to society as a
whole.
Para 1.20 4Cs continued to offer zoom counselling
throughout the pandemic, and has now
adopted online counselling as part of
what we can offer to the community in
the Norfolk area and sometimes further
afield. Many counsellors have returned
to face to face work now. This has been
important for those clients who could
not access the technology or felt
uncomfortable with it. However,
continuing the option of working online
has opened up the possibility of
counselling to those who have mobility
problems, issues with childcare or
financial difficulties associated with
travel.
As some of our counsellors have moved
to online work, space in the rooms has
been freed up, allowing us to take on
more volunteer counsellors, and
consequently more clients. The
pandemic has had a profound affect on
some of the people we are working with
for a variety of reasons. The cost of
living crisis has also contributed to the
distress of individuals and families. 4Cs
is supporting clients through
increasingly difficult times. There has
been a rise in the number of clients
suffering trauma and bereavement. We
receive many referrals through GP
surgeries and the NHS Wellbeing
Services, but the majority of our clients
have been recommended by people who
have used the service.
We continue to engage in relevant
training and work to BACP guidelines.
